Ministry Update of Adopted Missionaries for ODNM

Ministry Update of Adopted Missionaries for ODNM

Calvary greetings in Jesus' name. Thank you so much for your many years of selfless partnership, prayers, and support that have sustained the missionaries and help them to attain their present height in advancing God’s kingdom in the dark regions of the world. We are also grateful to all your friends and partners that have made the support possible.  Below are some of the reports:

Issa and Rahila Maliki

Completed one-room apartment for the Malikis

Issa and Rahila Maliki have continued to labor among the Gobirawa people in the Niger Republic. God has been gracious to them as more and more persons are surrendering their lives to Jesus. The people are mainly syncretic, combining idol worship with Islam. Just last week, a juju priest who has been like a principality at Kwalan Gobirawa village surrendered his life to Christ. Pray along with us that Christ will be formed in him as the discipleship process continue. Pray also that God would use his salvation to usher many persons to Jesus. Salkam, another village where they work, has converts that converge both for discipleship and adult literacy class. Most of them are Muslim Background Believers (MBB).

The need for accommodation in some of the villages where we work has been very critical. In one of the villages where they and the children reside more often, the building had severe cracks, and efforts to mend them over the years have not been satisfying because it was built with mud. Last month, they raised a building with mud blocks and needed funds to roof it before it rains. We are grateful to God for providing resources to roof it and plaster, it, fix door and window. They were encouraged. Rahila uses her sewing machine to attract Muslim women to herself to impact their lives for Christ. Some are indicating interest in enrolling as an apprentice. She covets our prayers for the fund to acquire more grinding machine,

God has been granting them huge inroads into more and more of the Kamberis. Now,

they have converts across Kebbi State, Niger State, and the neighboring Benin Republic. Some of the converts have been a disciple and are assisting them with the work. Some of them have been sent to Cross-Cultural Missions to be trained as second-generation missionaries. Some of the churches and mission houses built for those working for them during the dry season need to be roofed and plastered before the rain.  Pray along with them for the fund. Also, pray for them for divine protection as banditry, kidnapping, and other evils multiply in Niger State.

Andrew Marafa, Stephen Paul, and Abel Onuh

The work among Oma people continues to grow despite the opposition from the devil. God granted them it converts at Ugbogwu, and because of the distance, they began another discipleship class there. After much prayer, the community leaders agreed to use the government-owned primary school as a venue. Some of the converts at Oma moved out of the village

searching for greener pasture, and others who know the value of education relocated to places where there are schools. Nevertheless, they have continued to patiently work on the few remaining. In March 2020, Abel felt persuaded to disengage, and Andrew Marafa had some challenges with his health. He was invited to Jos for a medical checkup at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). The hospital confirmed that it was glaucoma and prescribed medication for him. There is no significant improvement yet, but it is too early to assess. We covet your prayers for divine intervention. Stephen Paul is alone on the field now, but we trust God for more laborers to deploy to the field.

Ladi Ekpa

After over a decade of serving among the Zullawa people and losing her only son, Ladi Ekpa formally resigned from the ministry in March 2021 on the ground of ill health. Please, pray along with us for a complete and speedy recovery.

Again, thank you so much, and God bless you.
