CHILDREN GALORE FOR GFIM MISSIONARIES

God recently blessed three of our missionaries with new babies. Blessing and Emmanuel Boubacar were blessed with baby girl. They have both returned to their pioneering assignment at Ahole, Niger Republic. Rahila and Issa Maliki were blessed with baby boy. Nathaniel and Mercy Udalor were also blessed with a baby boy recently. The first two couples are doing very well with their babies but Mercy Udalor delivered through surgery and has not been very sound health wise. We covet your prayers for her. Our former staff, Josiah Alih was also recently blessed with a baby.

GFIM HOME MISSION DIRECTOR HEALED OF CANCER

Home Mission Director of GFIM, Lucy Abah was diagnosed to have cancer of the breast early this year. After removing the breast, further test revealed that the cancer had spread to the arm pit. It was death sentence but prayers were raised to God from virtually every part of the world for her.

Plan to take the Lucy to United Kingdom for further medical check up did not work out as the least cost received from the hospitals there is 12000pounds. The money was not affordable. We resorted to prayer trusting that God of heaven will heal her.

On hearing this, the MET Directors, Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Golbeck invited her for a medical check up at one of the best hospitals in South Africa in oncology, the Little Company of Mary Hospital. Several medical tests were conducted for her and the result revealed that there is no more trace of cancer in her body. They paid for the entire medical bill. We thank God for this great miracle. Thank you for all your prayers and we specially thank the Golbecks for their sacrificial love for us.

We particularly register our deepest appreciation to Pastor Joseph Egwuda and General Onoja who stood by us as fathers during these trying times. We are grateful to Rev. Gloria Davies for input in the area of food supplement and teaching us how to use fruit and vegetable to combat the spread of cancer. We are eternally grateful to family, friends and Grace Foundation Inland Missions staff who traveled long distances, made several phone calls, sent in letters, and did everything to encourage us. The Lord bless you richly.

GFIM PROVIDES LEADERSHIP FOR MET IN SOUTH AFRICA

For the second time in two years, God opened the door for Grace Foundation Inland Missions to make input in training 22 Pastors and church leaders from Canada, Malawi, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa, Nigeria, etc. in missions.

The program which was organized by Missions exposures and training, an arm of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada had the GFIM International Director, Rev. Andrew Abah as the Program Resident Director assisted by his wife Lucy Abah.

One third of the program was devouted to class work while the remaining two third were field trips to world religion centers like Islamic Propagation Centre, Hindu, Hare Krishna and Buddhist temples aimed at providing insights into the challenges of the remaining unfinished task of world evangelization and churches and Para-church groups that are already contributing immensely to world evangelization like Hands for Christ, Petra college, Emmanuel Press, Hatfield Church, Kwasiswabantu, NG Moreletta Church, etc.

Rev. and Mrs. Abah deeply appreciates the hands of fellowship, love and partnership extended to them by the Directors of MET, Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Golbeck and all the seasoned world class presenters that they worked with during that challenging and interesting ministry assignment in Pretoria, South Africa.

The application forms for 2008 MET sessions are available now. The English session will hold in April 2008. There are programs in French and Portuguese also. Interested candidates should contact GFIM office or info@metmissions.org.za .

GHANA HOSTS MISSIONS CONFERENCE

Close to 100 Pastors cutting across 40 churches/denominations converged at Tema near Accra, capital city of Ghana for a minister’s conference with focus on The Missionary God. The program was hosted by Great Faith Miracle Church while the GFIM International Director, Rev. Andrew Abah spoke on the theme.

He was supported by SOCM Visiting Lecturer and MET Representative for Ghana, Rev. Jerry Abbey. Rev. Abbey traced the root of the Ghana church not taking their rightful position in world evangelization to improper discipleship.

We appreciate Pastor and Mrs. Edward Amankwa, Rev. & Mrs Abbey, Rev. Gideon Ahiagba and his entire team for making the five day visit of the International Director a memorable one.

UCH REVIEW STRATEGY

Over 10 years of seeking to give hitherto unreached kids a meaningful future, the ministry recently drastically reviewed her strategy of running home for the kids on the mission fields. Consequently, a decision was reached to move the kids to the mission headquarters in Jos, Plateau state capital. The reasons are:

* The need to reduce the spiritual warfare mounted on the kids by those who do not want them live. You will recall that the culture of some of the people encourage that kids be put to death if their mother die when they are still kids.

*Secondly, some of them have been very sickly and will require to be closer to standard hospitals until God fully heal them. We lost baby Victor after over one year of striving to keep her alive.

*Thirdly, the recent destruction by windstorm of our only four-classroom block which services the UCH is a major setback which we are yet to recover from. The primary school will resume under the tree in the next two weeks with little or no facility.

* The relocation will afford us more volunteers who will be willing to give us their time to take care of the kids than its original location on Kamberi field and finally it will provide more platform for more kids from other tribal groups from outside Niger state which was the original hosting state.

With God’s help, we have brought five of our kids to join the ones in Jos amounting to eight. We have limited ourselves to this number because of limited accommodation coupled with financial implication. We have seen a land we plan to build a house on, that will accommodate 50 unreached kids. Almost N2.5million($19230) will be required for the land and the structure. Pray for God to provide the fund for capital project and fund for recurrent expenditure like school fees, uniform, books, food, etc.
